Finance Minister Igor Matovič (OľaNO) stated that the rewards would be intriguing but will be announced shortly before the launch.
Anyone 18 or older who is immunised and lives in Slovakia can register to participate. The lottery is available to all immunised people, regardless of vaccination kind.
The Finance Ministry said all registered people will stay in a database during the draw. Two vaccine doses and complete vaccination doubles the likelihood of winning.
Permanent residents of Slovakia over 18 who ‘persuade’ others to get the vaccination can receive a bonus. The ministry says the (persuaded) person will obtain a number to send to the “mediator” or “persuasive person” after registering.
The mediator will get €30 ($35), €60, or €90 depending on the vaccinated person's age. Only when the patient has gotten both immunisation injections will the “mediator” get incentives.
