The company's eight casinos reopened in the nation on 12 February through the North American casino operator's subsidiary Casinos Poland, in which it has a 67% share, until at least 28 February, when certain measures would be appraised by the Polish government.
Casinos in Poland have been closed since the 28th of December, when the government imposed another nationwide lockdown to halt the spread of the coronavirus, but they will reopen with social distancing practises and health and safety safeguards in place.
According to a statement from Century Casinos, "There is no assurance that the casinos will be allowed to remain open past 28 February 2021; if the casinos are required to close again at that time, the company will report such closures in its Form 10-K for the year ended 31 December 2020."
After venues were permitted to reopen in June, the operator halted its casinos and racetracks in Canada in early December in reaction to the COVID-19 regulations imposed by the Alberta government.
Century Casinos reported an 81% year-on-year increase in net operating revenue, up to $95.7 million, with profitability from operations totaling $15 million, a 331% increase over 2019.
