"While we have a heritage of partnerships in football, we are thrilled to be foraying into sponsoring international cricket," stated Mikael Lijtenstein, CEO of AstroPay. "International cricket is a sport that is passionately followed in the Indian subcontinent, spanning all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds, with millions of fans tuning in to watch the matches."
"AstroPay is well-versed in developing markets, and this partnership offers us a great chance to increase brand recognition in India and the larger subcontinent, which is still a significant market for us."
AstroPay's logo will be put on the front of the team training bib and the leading arm of the Sri Lankan team jersey as part of the agreement. Additionally, the company's logo will be shown on the team's website and social media accounts.
"We welcome AstroPay into our fold, and I am confident that the firm will derive excellent brand exposure by partnering with Sri Lanka National T20 Team during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup," stated Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.
AstroPay was established in 2009 with the goal of facilitating easier and safer market access for retailers. AstroPay has expanded its global reach, catering to clients in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, thanks to its reputation for providing payment solutions to developing economies.
